FUNERAL COSTS WISH LIST

The cost of a funeral is largely dictated by the elements that are included within the funeral. These can vary greatly depending, for example, on the type of coffin chosen, the transport, number of following limousines and the crematorium or cemetery of your choice By choosing and entering information on our ‘Wish List’, you will be able to receive an estimate of the cost of any funeral services supplied by us. These costs will automatically be added to the total Wish List as you enter information.

We offer many other services to complete the funeral, some of which are listed below:

Carrying the coffin: You can carry the coffin or we can do it for you or we can all do it together.

Floral Tributes: You can bring your own flowers or encourage friends and family to bring flowers from their gardens or their local florists. Alternatively, request donations in lieu of flowers to help create a memorial.

Donations:  Many clients now suggest donations to a charity instead of flowers; in that event, we will gladly receive donations and either hand back to the family to pass on or we ensure that the payments safely reach the chosen charity. We offer the facility for you to make donations via our website.

Orders of service Sheets: At some funerals we are asked to arrange for “Order of Service” sheets to be printed. We are more than happy to do this. You may include as many photographs and designs as you wish and service sheets may be in black and white, sepia or full colour. We can help with suggestions for music, poetry and readings. Alternatively, you can design these yourselves. If you need help finding a printer, just let us know.

Newspaper notices: We can assist you to compile death announcements for submission to local and national newspapers. We can also place a ‘Thanks for Sympathy’ notice after the funeral, just let us know.

Caterers: We can arrange, and book local venues for after funeral gatherings. Alternatively we can recommend caterers to supply and deliver refreshments, ranging from simple cold snacks to a full hot meal of your choice to your home or any other venue for as small or large a number as required. Service and loan of crockery can also be provided.

Music: You can bring your own music or perhaps you have musical friends or family who could bring instruments along to play to make it a truly personal moment.

Poetry: The right words can speak to the emotions and the senses.

Photography/Videography: We photograph every part of our lives, particularly the big events such as weddings and christenings – Why not the end? Some people find comfort in looking back on the funeral and hearing the messages and the treasured memories from friends and relatives.

Light some Candles or Set free some balloons:Involve everyone at the ceremony and make a beautiful memorable ritual.

Food and Drink: Favourite Chocolates or sweets – A shot of their favourite rum or a smoke on the last cigar. Invite everyone to join in whilst listening to the ceremony.

Funeral Favours: Same idea as wedding favours. You can give everyone who attends a little keepsake. A seed or a plant to plant in their garden A key-ring or book that belonged to the person. Something small that can be treasured and full of personal meaning.

If you don’t want to do these things yourselves – ordering the flowers, designing the orders of service and finding the music – we can organise these things on your behalf.
